Violin Master Class with Daniel Phillips
Master class coaching by guest artists has been part of Hoff-Barthelson’s curriculum since the School’s founding in 1944. This distinguished tradition continues this season with a roster of world-class musicians and educators. Master classes are an enlightening experience for students and audiences alike. The annual Compose Yourself! Project Workshop is a unique and special opportunity for students to share their compositions with visiting professional composers/teaching artists and receive feedback. Student compositions presented at the workshop will be considered for inclusion on the Compose Yourself! Project Recital as part of the Music of Our Time Festival The Compose Yourself! The Elaine Stamas Chamber Music Residency gives HBMS student ensembles the opportunity to perform for musicians of the New York Philharmonic who share their comprehensive knowledge of ensemble playing with these young musicians, guiding them to a higher understanding of technique, musicianship and musical style.
