Our Comprehensive Music Education Program for Adults

If you’re an adult looking to rekindle your musical passion, continue your long-time musical journey or even start learning to play music for the first time, you’ll find a welcoming home at Hoff-Barthelson Music School.

Our world-class teachers are here to support you with myriad opportunities to learn, grow, explore, and fulfill your musical dreams, in a program tailored to your individual interests and level of desired time commitment. You’ll also find a warm and inclusive environment where you can make connections with other music lovers.

Many of our classes, ensembles and lessons are available a la carte, but for a truly immersive experience, you may choose a Comprehensive Program that suits your needs and works with your schedule.

Combining all our offerings for adults, the Comprehensive Program includes:

  • 30, 45, 60, 75 or 90 minute private lessons, 16 weeks each semester on a choice of over 20 instruments plus voice and composition

  • Ensemble opportunities for the enriching experience of performing in a group

  • Access to musicianship classes (music theory, music history, and more) that deepen appreciation of music

  • Group classes in piano, guitar, violin and ukulele, with an emphasis on enjoyment

  • Professional accompaniment available during lessons and performances

  • Performance workshops and recital opportunities throughout the year

  • Progress reports available to measure growth and identify challenges
