2020 Summer Lesson Schedule
Given the great uncertainties stemming from the COVID pandemic, we have designed our 2020 Summer Lesson Program for maximum flexibility: students may register for as few or as many lessons as they like between June 2 and August 28. (Note that Monday lessons for Spring 2020 continue through June 15.)
With schools across New York State remaining closed through the end of the academic year, it is not yet certain that downstate schools will be allowed to reopen over the summer. Taking this into account, we anticipate that most, if not all, Summer Lessons will be delivered online. This means that the scheduling of Summer Lessons is bounded only by your and your teacher’s mutual availability.
In the event that we are able to open our campus for our Summer Session (June 29 – July 31), we will be delighted to host in-person lessons between the hours of 2:15 and 9:00 pm, Monday – Thursday.
Service and Pricing
Since tuition for Summer Lessons does not include musicianship classes or ensemble opportunities, price points are considerably lower than during the academic year. To entice you further, we are pleased to offer a 10% discount on purchases of 3 or more lessons per student. The registration fee is just $20 per student.
Prices listed are per lesson and include access to accompaniment service (recordings of accompaniment specifically tailored to the student can be provided to support online learning) and opportunities to participate in performance workshops and recitals in July.
How to Register
Not all HBMS faculty members teach during the summer and hours may differ for those who do. Please consult with your teacher about scheduling before beginning the registration process. If your teacher will not be available over the summer, feel free to ask him or her to recommend another HBMS faculty member with whom you or your child can study.
Once you have a general sense of your schedule (you do not need to work out all the details up front), fill out the 2020 Summer Registration Form by Friday, May 29, so that our staff can work with you and your teacher to build your ideal Summer Lesson schedule. We’ll then email you a confirmation with a link to our Summer Lesson payment portal so that you can complete your purchase and lessons can begin!
Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email or call our Student and Faculty Services Department at 914-723-1169 or firstname.lastname@example.org. They’ll be delighted to assist!
