Youth Orchestras Open House
Join music directors Jun Nakabayashi (Festival Orchestra), Robert Schwartz (Young People’s Symphonette, Chamber Orchestra), Joseph Piscitelli (Wind Ensemble) and HBMS Executive Director Ken Cole for a lively online discussion via Zoom about the School’s four-tiered Youth Orchestra Programs. The discussion will include information about repertoire, educational goals, performance schedules, safety protocols, and more! Students enrolled in private lessons elsewhere are welcome to enroll in these ensembles on an a la carte basis. RSVP HERE

The discussion will include information about repertoire, educational goals, performance schedules, how to prepare for auditions (only the Festival Orchestra requires auditions), and more! Music Showcase Festival at Dorney Park
Members of the Young People's Symphonette and Chamber Orchestra travel to Dorney Park in Allentown, Pennsylvania to participate in the 2022 Music Showcase Festival where they will receive a year-end assessment by an outside panel focused on reinforcing skills that students have developed through their participation in the orchestras. Buses depart from Hoff-Barthelson at 7:00 am and return to the School at approximately 9:30 pm.
