Music of Our Time Festival Large Ensembles Performance
The Music of Our Time Contemporary Music Festival – Student Recital featuring music composed between 1923 and the present. Featuring two world premieres: Three Eastern Episodes by Ke-Chia Chen Commissioned by HBMS for a student ensemble and made possible under the auspices of Hoff-Barthelson’s Wilma Machover Residency and Commission Program. Members of the Young People's Symphonette and Chamber Orchestra travel to Dorney Park in Allentown, Pennsylvania to participate in the 2024 Music Showcase Festival where they will receive a year-end assessment by an outside panel focused on reinforcing skills that students have developed through their participation in the orchestras.
