Our private lesson packages for ages 4 through adult combine six elements of music education:

  • Individual weekly lessons—Private instruction on more than 20 instruments and voice over two 16-week fall and spring semesters, 32 weeks per year. Private instruction is also available on a flexible schedule during the summer months.

  • Musicianship Program—30 Weekly classes that deepen and accelerate the learner’s practice, performance, and understanding of music.

  • Performance Program—Weekly performance workshop and recital opportunities, as well as opportunities to participate in the audition process, master classes, the Honors Program, and community concerts. Professional quality recordings and live streaming of performances.

  • Ensembles Program—Orchestras, choruses, chamber groups, jazz ensembles, and instrument clubs for a range of ages and levels.

  • Progress Program—Written critiques, progress reports, and access to advising from HBMS deans.

  • Accompaniment Service—Tuition for string, wind, brass, and voice students includes regular access to professional accompaniment.

Students in grades who take private lessons outside of the School may enroll in our group classes and ensembles on an a la carte basis.
