Laura Barnet received a Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance from the University of Michigan, where she studied with Paul Kantor and Stephen Shipps. Laura studied Dalcroze Eurhythmics with Ruth Alperson at Hoff-Barthelson and Ann Farber at Lucy Moses School, and is a certified Dalcroze Eurhythmics teacher. She continued violin studies in New York with Isaac Malkin, while earning a Master of Arts degree from St. Vladimir’s Seminary, focusing on composition and conducting. She also studied Sligo-style Irish fiddle with Brian Conway. Laura has completed Suzuki violin training through Book 8, studying with Nancy Dexter, Amy Rosen, and Susan Baer. During the summer, Laura enjoys teaching violin and eurhythmics at the Westchester Suzuki Institute.
