An Evening of Music, Celebration, and Community
Saturday, April 25, 2026
Reid Castle, Manhattanville University
2900 Purchase Street | Purchase, NY 10577
We’re gathering for a night shaped by music, inspired by remarkable people, and made joyful by being together. On behalf of the HBMS Board of Trustees and the Spring Benefit Host Committee, we hope you will be part of this special evening.
Funds raised at the Benefit will ensure that Hoff-Barthelson can continue to provide comprehensive music education of the highest caliber, offer generous financial aid, and deliver dynamic programs for our community.
Honoring Distinguished Members of Our Community
This year, we proudly recognize three individuals whose dedication and artistry have profoundly enriched Hoff-Barthelson Music School: Warren Haber, HBMS Trustee; April Johnson, Associate Dean and Faculty Member; and Peter Seidenberg, Faculty Member. Their leadership, commitment, and passion for music continue to strengthen our School and inspire our students every day.

Featuring internationally acclaimed pianist Mackenzie Melemed

Recipient of the 2022 Avery Fisher Career Grant, American pianist Mackenzie Melemed is recognized as one of the most compelling artists of his generation. Praised by The New York Times as “an excellent young pianist,” he is admired for his technical brilliance and expressive depth. A laureate of the American Pianists Awards and the China International Music Competition, he has appeared with the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Helsinki Philharmonic and performed at Carnegie Hall. A Steinway Artist and Juilliard graduate, he champions both masterworks and new commissions, expanding today’s piano repertoire.
Additional Performances
The program will also feature a special appearance by HBMS alumna Rachel Haber and performances by HBMS Chamber Ensembles. Together, these artists will create an evening that reflects both the excellence of our faculty and the vibrancy of our student community.
