Family Concert
Each year Hoff-Barthelson provides a delightful opportunity for family members – students, siblings, parents, grandparents, cousins – to perform together at our Family Concert. This event stands out as one of our most beloved community gatherings at the School, offering an evening filled with joyful music-making in a relaxed atmosphere. The 2025 Elaine Stamas Chamber Music Residency offers 14 HBMS student ensembles the chance to perform for and receive coaching from musicians of the New York Philharmonic. These esteemed artists bring their deep expertise in ensemble playing, helping young musicians refine their technique, enhance their musicianship, and develop a deeper understanding of musical style. Join us for a pre-concert reception to meet the artists, followed by a thrilling afternoon of chamber music performed by musicians from the New York Philharmonic as part of the School's Elaine Stamas Chamber Music Residency. Earlier in the day, HBMS student ensembles participated in the Residency, receiving coaching from these world-class musicians. Violin Master Class with Almita Vamos
Master Classes are open to the public to observe free of charge. Master class coaching by guest artists has been part of Hoff-Barthelson’s curriculum since the School’s founding in 1944.
