Pre-College (K-12) Chamber Music Placement Meetings

Hoff-Barthelson’s Pre-College Chamber Music Program, led by Laura Giannini, offers an inspiring and supportive environment for intermediate and advanced instrumentalists, vocalists, and pianists. Students develop their musicianship through personalized coaching, ensemble collaboration, and performance experiences.

Placement Meeting Information:
Students are placed in ensembles based on age, ability, and availability. Placement meetings include a brief solo performance before a faculty panel.
- Prepare up to five minutes of a solo piece that best demonstrates your level.
- NYSSMA Level 4-6 students should prepare two contrasting pieces or movements.
- Performances will be unaccompanied; no scales required.
