Hoff-Barthelson welcomes volunteer support from parents, caregivers, alumni, and students ages 14 and above (students may receive community service hours in return).

The Friends of Hoff-Barthelson is the Music School’s parent and volunteer association. Friends assist with events throughout the year that nurture a supportive and welcoming environment, create opportunities for community involvement for families and students alike, and enable the School to support faculty and provide programming of the highest caliber.  Examples include School Spirit Day, the Holiday Music Festival, the Elaine Stamas Chamber Music Residency with Musicians from the New York Philharmonic, our Annual Spring Benefit, and HB Artist Series Recitals featuring faculty in performance.

Volunteers interested in contributing professional services and/or assisting in our administrative offices are also welcome.

Participation in volunteer activities is an excellent way to get to know other HBMS parents, families, faculty and staff, and to help foster a positive learning environment for all our students.
