Mia Fritze is a horn player, teacher, and arts administrator who recently moved to New York from Burlington, VT where she maintained a busy private horn studio for twenty years. She also taught horn lessons for the Vermont Youth Orchestra Association’s Endangered Instruments Program and Lesson Program, while also working with brass sections in the local middle and high schools.

Mia has performed with the Burlington Chamber Orchestra, Opera Company of Middlebury, the Discovery Jazz Orchestra, Lyric Theater, and many schools’ musical productions. Currently, she works for Carnegie Hall’s Artist Training Programs and is also the Orchestra Database Co-coordinator for the Institute for Composer Diversity.
