Jennifer Tibbetts is a voice teacher, choral director and composer, who is well-known in New York State and internationally. In 2013 Jennifer joined the Metropolitan Opera Guild as a Teaching Artist in voice and composition. She was named a Master Voice teacher for the Met Guild in the All City program. She was a recipient of the Doreen Ackerman Bernardo Scholarship Award (four years in a row) and a guest artist at the Kosciusko Foundation. She won the Long Island Women’s Club Competition two years in a row for voice, and was a finalist in the Long Island Composers Symposium for her own compositions for piano and voice. She has participated in workshops for new musicals at BMI, was a guest soloist with the Peabody Opera Department, C.W. Post Chamber Music Festival and Opera Department as well as numerous other opera festivals around the world. Jennifer was a scholarship recipient at the American Institute of Musical Studies (AIMS) in Graz Austria, and also sang with the International Academy of Rome, Italy. Jennifer is an active conductor and is the choral director for grades 6-12 in the Millbrook Central School District.
