Delana Thomsen is a highly accomplished solo and collaborative pianist who has given recitals throughout Europe and the US, as well as Master Classes in Iceland, Bulgaria, and Italy. She is currently an Artist Faculty member of Clazz International Music Festival in Arcidosso, Italy; Manhattan School of Music Precollege Division; Hoff-Barthelson Music School as well as has private teaching studios in NYC and UpstateNY.  In NYC she has appeared at numerous venues including Carnegie Weill Recital Hall.  Ms. Thomsen has been affiliated with InterHarmony International Music Festival; Aspen Music Festival; Juilliard; Mannes College of Music and she performs regularly with the Thomsen-Belli piano duo and SAGA ensemble. Ms. Thomsen was invited to perform with violinist Gudny Gudmundsdottir for Mozartmarathon Tónleiker in Reykjavik, Iceland in 2018 with an acclaimed all Mozart program.

She is a sought-after teacher and inspiring mentor, and her pupils have had great recognition.  Several have had the honor of being chosen to perform in master classes with distinguished artists. Additionally, Ms. Thomsen’s pupils have been the winners of numerous concerto competitions including Yonkers Philharmonic, Long Island Youth Orchestra and LaGuardia High School as well as many local competitions. She is a Board Member of the Leschetizky Association and most recently her pupils have performed in the AMTL and Leschetizky Youth Concerts, been soloist with the NY Concerti Sinfonietta, and participated in the MSM Precollege Concerto Competitions. Delana’s esteemed teachers have included Ruth Slenczynska and Arthur Balsam.
