Flutist Reva Youngstein is an active performer throughout the New York area. She performs regularly at Carnegie Hall with Musica Sacra and with the Orchestra of the Oratorio Society of New York and is a member of the orchestra at St Ignatius Church. She is also a frequent performer in the Great Music in a Great Space series at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. Reva also plays in the New Jersey Symphony, the American Symphony, the Greenwich Symphony, and at the Berkshire Opera Festival. She can be heard in the Broadway pit of Wicked. She has been on the music faculty of the Brearley School in Manhattan for thirty years. She has been on the music faculty at the 92nd St Y, and was a leader of sectionals and Flute Coach at the New Jersey Symphony’s Academy.
During the summers, Reva is a chamber music coach at SummerTrios, a program for adult musicians. She has been a flute instructor for over 40 years, teaching ages 8-80 in her private studio.
