As a devoted music educator, Dr. Yuting Wu is currently the artistic director of Music at Ponticello (MAP), a studio specialized in co-operative parent-children musical learning. She has extensive teaching knowledge with students ranging from ages 3 to 55 in both educational organizations and in private lessons. She has served as faculty and volunteer at many schools, such as Song of Songs, Queens College, Church in the Gardens, The Lawrence Eisman Center for Preparatory Studies in Music at Queens College, The Kew-Forest School, Avenue School, and PS 196.
Dr. Wu earned double degrees in Cello Performance and Business Administration from NSYSU in Taiwan. She was under the tutelage of Maya Beiser, David Geber and Chris Finckel. Over the past two decades, her professional performance footprints throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia have included Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. She is the recipient of numerous scholarships, such as the Heifetz International Music Institute, Academy of Music Summer Festival in Mahwah, and Manhattan School of Music. Over the years, Dr. Wu has won solo cello performance prizes in seven separate music competitions in Taiwan. As a performer, Dr. Wu was a member of many chamber groups and orchestras, including the Formosa Piano Trio, Hotshot Cello Choir, New Music Ensemble, Shi-Wen Chamber Orchestra and New York Symphony Orchestra.
