The Hoff-Barthelson Preschool for three and four year olds provides a safe, nurturing environment which promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. Experienced teachers meet each child's developmental needs and build toward readiness for kindergarten. Children are involved through play in a full curriculum, with a special emphasis on music and art, which introduces numbers and language arts, science and nature, and dramatic play, cooking, sand and water play, and outdoor play. The children attend twice weekly music and movement classes in Dalcroze eurhythmics. Our teachers and staff members bring experience, warmth and skill to the Hoff-Barthelson Preschool. The student/teacher ratio in the Preschool is 7/1. Both teachers are fully state certified and hold MA Degrees in early childhood education. The 3-year-old class Monday–Thursday 12:30–2:45 pm The 4-year-old class Monday–Friday 8:45–11:30 am The Four Seasons A recycling project made by the Hoff-Barthelson Preschool while listening to Vivaldi's music. The optional Summer Extension Program continues the regular Preschool session for four weeks in June. This program is only open to children who are already enrolled in the Preschool.     top of page
