The FriendsThe Friends of Hoff-Barthelson, the Parent Organization of the Music School, hosts events throughout the year that support the educational and fund-raising goals of the school. The organization seeks to do this by creating a supportive and welcoming environment, providing programs to assist parents and children in navigating their musical journey, and promoting community involvement. All members of the HBMS community - parents and guardians, faculty and staff, and anyone who is interested in our mission - are automatically members of the Friends.
The Friends commitment to enhancing the Hoff-Barthelson experience for its students and families is evident in their diverse activities. The Friends organize the Holiday Music Festival, host the New York Philharmonic Educational Residency and Recital, and welcome the returning faculty and administrative staff at the traditional September Faculty and Staff Dinner. The Friends are a positive and constant ingredient in the Hoff-Barthelson mix. All levels of participation in events and activities are welcome, as the Friends relies exclusively on help from the parent and student body to produce its many fund-raising and community spirit programs here at HBMS. Email the Friends Volunteer Coordinator, Jocelyn Kenner, at firstname.lastname@example.org or complete the Volunteer Form if you wish to help!
