Join us for Hoff-Barthelson's 2018 Spring Benefit!

Saturday, April 28, 2018

Mark your calendars for HB’s annual Spring Benefit, on Saturday evening, April 28, 2018, at 7:00. The Benefit, our major fundraising event, celebrates the accomplishment of our students, honors those who have helped us get to where we are today, and features a centerpiece performance by world renowned violinist Rachel Barton Pine. A select group of HBMS string students will join Rachel for a culminating performance that’s sure to dazzle. Delectable food and drink and a silent auction add to the evening’s festivities.

Generous support raised through the Benefit helps ensure that Hoff-Barthelson can continue to offer a vibrant, comprehensive music education to students of all ages, aptitudes and advancement, while ensuring that our programs remain accessible through financial aid and community partnerships through which HB faculty work with children in Head Start centers and homeless shelters, at Graham Windham, the Andrus Orchard School, and Blythedale Children’s Hospital, and other organizations serving children in challenging circumstances.

Heralded as a leading interpreter of the great classical masterworks, international concert violinist Rachel Barton Pine thrills audiences worldwide with her dazzling technique, lustrous tone and emotional honesty. With an infectious joy in music-making and a passion for connecting historical research to performance, Ms. Pine transforms audiences’ experiences of classical music. She has appeared as soloist with many of the world’s most prestigious ensembles, including the Chicago Symphony, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic; and the Netherlands Radio Kamer Filharmonie. Ms. Pine is passionate about sharing classical music with people of all ages and backgrounds and is deeply committed to using music in community service, a value that we aim to instill in all our students at Hoff-Barthelson. Earlier in the day, Ms. Pine will lead an inspiring, not-to-be-missed masterclass for violin students in the Behrens Bergman Auditorium.

Benefits tickets go on sale in February.
